OKLAHOMA STATE PREVIEW by Gideon Hamilton

The Oklahoma State Cowboys look to improve to 2-0 this weekend with their only non-conference game against an opponent from a Power 5 conference, Arizona State. The Cowboys raced out to a 51-15 advantage early in the second half against Central Michigan in week one before preserving a 58-44 victory. OSU broke the game open early, scoring 44 points in just over 16 minutes during a span from late in the first quarter to the first scoring drive of the third.

Arizona State also had a couple of extra days to prepare for this game, defeating Northern Arizona 40-3 last Thursday. The Sun Devils’ Defensive Coordinator Donnie Henderson knows this will be a different challenge. When asked about Spencer Sanders and his jaw-dropping statistical performance in week one he said, “Athlete, extends plays, I’m scared. He’s a pretty good athlete, can move around, knows where the ball has to go, makes all the checks… pretty good player really.” Head Coach Herm Edwards confirmed that his team will be short-handed up front, losing OL Joey Ramos for the season in week one.

Oklahoma State and Arizona State kick things off at 6:30 P.M. Saturday night inside Boone Pickens Stadium.
