With the NFL starting this weekend, football season is all the way back! This is also the time of year where I check the odds hourly for every college or NFL game and responsibly place bets on games I like. Usually, I bet NFL games Sunday morning after I see how my college bets went and to make more reasonable decisions, so here are some college games I REALLY like this weekend.
In no particular order, the five games I like the most are as followed:
Arkansas -8
Arkansas is one of the most underrated teams in the country. South Carolina really struggled last weekend against Georgia State while Arkansas beat a top 25 Cincinnati. I think Arkansas is better coached, deeper and has a better defense. Sam Pittman and the Hogs are TREMENDOUS at covering the spread as well. Go Hogs.
Central Florida -5.5
Louisville got a beat down last weekend against Syracuse. While I believe they will improve, I don’t think it’s enough to go down to the Bounce House and slow the Knights down. UCF quarterback, John Plumlee, who transferred in from Ole Miss was involved for five of seven UCF touchdowns last week. The Knights may have another explosive offense in store. This game is a candidate for my lock of the week.
Baylor +3.5 (or ML)
In this future Big 12 showdown between the Bears and Cougars, I don’t only love the Bears to cover, I love the Bears to win outright. I think Baylor’s defense is going to be too much for the Cougars to handle. Baylor getting 3.5 is a no-brainer in my eyes.
Tennessee/Pitt O 66.5 & Pitt +6.5
Want me to be honest? I don’t know why I bet Pitt plus the points. I have no reasoning to it based off my gut is telling me to. Tennessee is probably the better team and will cover, so if you believe being smart, bet the Vols. If you want to go with me and my gut based off nothing, then Let’s Go Pitt.
Butttttttt, the over is a great bet to me. Both teams have great offenses with very below average defenses. I think the over in this game is one of the smartest plays of the week. This is a Rudolph-Baker Bedlam type game. Great offense, sickening defense.
